Recipe for a Sports Car
Buy a boring family car
Here is a nice Ford Mondeo; a sensible 5 seat family car.
I think someone had been smoking in this one.....
....which makes it a little cheaper to buy.
Take the engine out of it
This one is a nice V6 and has about 220 horses neatly packed into it
Buy a new body, and take it home
These can be obtained from any reputable kit car manufacturer such as
Place it in a pre-heated workshop
and leave it for a couple of months
Lift the bodyshell
Lifting the bodyshell means that you can get at the interesting bits underneath...
Chassis
....such as the chassis.
Which needs a coat of paint
I think it was the Rolling Stones who suggested that I Paint It, Black.
Suspension
The suspension components need some paint too - here they are strung out ready for their first coat....
...and here they are painted. I used smooth Hammerite, which goes on okay with a small foam roller.
